Our proposal

Our proposal has been sensitively designed to respect the local landscape and existing nearby residential areas. If approved, it will provide much-needed new homes and investment for the local area.

The draft illustrative masterplan includes:

  • Approximately 235 high-quality new homes in a sustainable location

  • A range of house-types sizes and tenures, including 24 (10%) affordable housing, providing opportunities for lower income households to own their own home or to secure rented accommodation

  • Two vehicle access points via Cauldwell Road

  • A large area of public open space for residents to enjoy, including children’s play areas

  • Potential allotments or a community garden

  • Retained and enhanced hedgerows, woodland tree planting, and landscaping, which together with the public open space will help to improve the variety of wildlife and plants on site

  • A network of clear paths around the development as well as safe and improved pedestrian and cycle links with the surrounding area

  • Retained Public Right of Way with a diverted safer crossing point on Sherwood Way

  • Sustainable Urban Drainage systems
